A dream worth making a movie about.

Last night’s dream could easily be made into a movie…
It was a love story of a boy who was abused by the hand of his father, and a curious girl that did whatever she had to to stay in this boy’s life; she, too, endured the abuse of his father only to be with him, and she would ultimately save him from the abuse and they would be together. I  cannot provide all the details because i have forgotten most of them, but i will provide you with the idea of what was going on in my mind when i had this dream.

It starts out in a strange backyard with a small obstacle-like area where it seems that someone who lives here participates in some sort of martial arts and meditation. We see that there’s a boy practicing meditation and martial arts in different stances. Then we see a curious girl peeking through the tall grass and we find her curiously interested in this boy. What is he doing? What is he like? Why is he doing this? …all of these questions she had in her mind when she accidentally stepped on a leaf that created a loud crunch, to which the boy reacted by looking in her direction. She squatted down, she didnt want to be seen, but the boy wanted to know what that was, so he headed in her direction. He pulls apart a section of the grass only to find the girl sitting there. He wonders what she is doing there and they get to talking. “Who are you? and why are you here? How did you get here?,” he says. “umm. my name is Callie, and I was out for a walk. I didn’t know there was going to be someone out here. Say, what were you doing out here anyway?,” she says. “I was practicing my meditation and martial arts. By the way, my name is Gill.” To which Callie replies, “Oh, ok. why are you doing this though?” “Because eventually one day, I am going to have to defend myself, whether it is from my own father or an enemy. You can never be too prepared,” he said.
 Little did Callie know or understand the kind of abused life Gill had been living. His father was extremely manic and had control over everything his son did. He never let him do anything without his permission or without him being supervised…or so he thought. Gill’s father owned a restaurant but not your ordinary modern restaurant. Gill’s father’s restaurant was in a shack. It wasn’t even an eat-in diner. When things didn’t go his way, he would throw things at whoever he was talking to, he would even fight them if they didn’t do what he had asked. Little did Callie realize that her curious interest in this boy would put her in danger. When Gill’s father learns that he and Callie are interested in one another, he does whatever he can in his power to keep her out of Gill’s life. Several times when Callie would come by the restaurant, he would throw dishes and other objects at her begging her to stay away or she could become seriously injured. Callie, being the kind person she is, faces this man with confidence and plans to take Gill away from this no matter what she has to do. For days, she endured the wrath of his father and she would never give up! Gill would tell her to forget about him and move on to something else, but she just couldn’t leave him there. At this point, I think that Callie has fallen in love with Gill. Gill’s feelings have also become mutual to her’s although he wants her to move on so that she doesn’t have to deal with this anymore.
So begins Callie’s adventures to rescue Gill from this tragic home life. Black and blue eyes, cuts and scrapes, Callie’s heart would never give up on the person that she loves. Eventually, Callie plans that the only way to help Gill out would to fight his father. She expresses this to Gill and he denies her in fighting his father, so Gill decided that he should do it. Callie would be there in full support. Gill fights his father but his main interest is in Callie. He chases her for hours and she hides from him but every time he found her, he’d go in for a punch. She’d escape but only a few times. Gill worries that his father might kill Callie so Gill jumps in and attacks his father, injuring him, nearly killing him. Gill’s fight is over and he and Callie can move and live on their own and be together forever.


….and then i woke up. I know that there is way more detail especially bc it felt like i was there watching it. But i couldnt remember it when I woke up. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading this short story/ dream.
